Following the recent expansion of our business premises, Kromer is taking the next step towards the future and sustainability. A state-of-the-art photovoltaic system has been installed on the roof of our new building section, revolutionizing our energy supply and marking a strong commitment to environmental protection.
With an area of 838 m² and an impressive total capacity of 360.34 kWp, the solar system generates approximately 364,000 kWh of clean green electricity annually. We are especially proud that 115,000 kWh is consumed directly within our company. This means that in the future, we will independently produce 55% of our annual electricity needs – a significant step towards energy self-sufficiency.
At Kromer, sustainability is our top priority. With the installation of this solar system, we aim not only to significantly reduce our ecological footprint but also to actively contribute to the energy transition. The solar modules we use have a power output of 430 W and a lifespan of over 25 years. This means they will provide reliable energy for decades while operating in a resource-efficient manner. By relying on renewable energy, we are making a significant contribution to climate protection and supporting the global movement towards environmentally friendly energy production.
In addition to its environmental benefits, the solar system also plays a strategic role in our financial planning.
