1924
Expansion of the product range of weight compensators to weight load capacities of up to 136 kilograms. Weight load range for the spring trains: 0.5 kg to 5 kg. First use of a spring break safety device.

Patent submission of the world's only high-security double-cable balancer type 7248. By using a second rope, the crash of the load can be prevented without external accessories in the event of a possible breakage of the suspension cable. The market launch of the new product took place one year later.
2000
Another important milestone in the company's history was the takeover of the Handling Technology Division by the international operating Carl Stahl Group and the transfer to Carl Stahl Kromer GmbH in November 2000. Carl Stahl GmbH is also a family-run company from the Swabian town of Süßen (near Göppingen) engaged in the manufacture and sale of high quality steel wire ropes and equipment for handling loads.
2011
Carl Stahl Kromer is growing steadily: 27 percent more sales and 35 percent more new orders than in the previous year. The square was also narrow in the Freiburg building, which is why the company moved in 2011 in the larger Gottenheimer new building.

Another milestone: Re-certification to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001: The successful application of a quality and environmental management system was again confirmed by the certification body of TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH in February 2015.
2017
Very satisfied and a little bit proud as well, Kromer looks back and celebrates his 100th birthday in the production of zero gravity balancers and spring balancers.
2019
In addition to durable and therefore sustainable products, at Kromer we offset our unavoidable CO2 emissions by purchasing environmental certificates. By acquiring environmental certificates, we support sustainability projects all over the world.
2021
Despite the difficult times due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, Kromer succeeds in developing a new product: the explosion-proof ATEX balancer type 7235 EX with a load range of 15-55 kg, suitable for tool support in areas where flammable gases and dusts can occur . With the new ATEX balancer, Kromer is opening up new markets such as the oil, gas and chemical industry.

Kromer remains a proud part of the Carl Stahl Group.
2024
838 m² of solar modules were installed on our company roof, which generate 364,000 kWh of green electricity annually - enough to cover 55% of our own electricity needs. In addition to making a major contribution to climate protection, we are becoming less dependent on energy price fluctuations and ensuring long-term stability. An investment that pays off for both the environment and our company!
